How does it work?

Simply choose your preferred picnic package, select your date and time, and complete your booking online.

On the day of your picnic, check in at The Stag when you arrive and a member of our team will escort you to your beautifully prepared picnic spot, where everything will be ready and waiting for you.

Can I add anything to my package?

Absolutely! When you check in at The Stag, you'll have the opportunity to order additional food and drinks from our menu before heading to your picnic. Whether it's a bottle of wine, homemade cake or a few extra treats, we're happy to help make your picnic even more special.

What happens if it rains?

British weather can be unpredictable! If you'd prefer not to picnic outdoors due to the weather, we'll happily set up your picnic inside The Stag instead.

Alternatively, you're welcome to postpone your booking to another date (subject to availability).

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations due to adverse weather.

How long do we have our picnic for?

Your picnic booking includes exclusive use of your picnic space for up to two hours, giving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy your experience.

Where will my picnic be set up?

You can choose from one of our beautiful picnic locations, including our stunning lakeside setting or our peaceful meadow within the Cookswood estate. Each location has been carefully chosen to offer a unique outdoor dining experience.

Can children come along?

Of course! Our picnics are suitable for families as well as couples and groups. We also offer children's picnic options, and highchairs are available at The Stag if needed.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in many areas of the Cookswood estate. If you'd like to bring your four-legged friend, just let us know when booking so we can recommend the most suitable picnic location.

Our picnic locations are positioned around the estate to provide a relaxed and peaceful experience. While they aren't completely secluded, each has been chosen to offer plenty of space and a sense of privacy.

Can I celebrate a special occasion?

Absolutely! Our luxury picnics are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, proposals and other celebrations.

Do I need to be staying at Cookswood?

No. Our luxury picnic experiences are available to both residents and non-residents, although advance booking is essential.
